REGISTRATION

*** IMPORTANT WORKSHOP AUTHORS***
Please note that at least one author per paper must register at a "non-student" rate with full payment received and cleared into ACM Multimedia 2004 account by August 27th, 2004. Otherwise the paper will not be included in the workshop program. If all the authors on a paper are certified as students, then a student rate registration will be accepted. When registering as an author, please provide your paper number in the space provided. Note that if you have multiple papers in the same workshop, one registration is sufficient.

Registration Fees
All conference fees are in U.S. dollars. Registration for the main technical program is strongly recommended, but is not required to attend tutorials or workshops. Registration for the main conference as a non-member or as an ACM member includes one banquet ticket. The conference proceedings (hard copy and CD format) are included for all attendees of the main conference.

ACM members qualify for member fee discounts. You must include your ACM membership number on your registration form. Students must provide proof of student status, such as a copy of their student identification card, or a letter from their department confirming their academic status as a full-time student when picking up their badges. Alternatively, you may fax your credentials to +1 212 666 0140 (Attn: Andrew Miller), or mail a copy to the address below. In your covering note please include your Registration Number, which will be issued at the end of this online registration process. Mail a copy of your student credentials to:

Multiple Attendee Registration
We encourage multiple attendee registrations from the same organization. The on-line registration system makes registering multiple attendees easy. To add an additional registration, simply click the 'Add Attendee' button before continuing to choosing a payment method.

Credit Card Security
This on-line registration system is based on the use of credit cards. Although the Internet system we use for credit card information transmission is quite secure, some users prefer to fax their credit card information to us separately. You will be offered a choice of this payment option at the end of the interactive questionnaire.

Confirmation and Receipts
When you send us your registration, we process your credit card or other payment. If the credit card charge is successful, we will send an e-mail confirmation. If the credit card transaction is unsuccessful, we will promptly notify you by phone, fax or e-mail. A printed receipt will be provided when you pick up your badge at the registration desk.

Registration Changes
The main on-line system can be used only for your original registration. If you have already registered, either on-line, by fax or mail, please fax your requested changes to +1 212 666 0140 (Attn: Andrew Miller). Your Registration Number must be included in your message. Please also include your credit card information (Issuer, Acct #, Cardholder name, Bill address, and Security code), as we do NOT save this information in our registration system.

Refund Requests
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and must be received by the Registration Chair before 9 October, 2004. A cancellation fee, as described below, will be deducted to cover processing costs. Cancellation requests received after this date cannot be honored.

All cancellations and requests for refunds must be received in writing and faxed to +1 212 666 0140 or mailed directly to:
